What is Zepbound?

Zepbound (tirzepatide) is a GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist that has been approved by Health Canada for the treatment of Type-2 diabetes, and is also prescribed for weight loss in a program that includes diet and exercise.

Health Canada's regulations require confirming your patient status to learn more. Please provide the Drug Identification Number (DIN) from your product packaging.

How does Zepbound work?

Zepbound is the first and only once-a-week medicine that activates two receptors: GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). This increases insulin production while decreasing glucagon levels, which, in turn, decreases blood glucose levels in the body. It also reduces food intake, and slows down the speed at which your stomach digests food.
