How does Mounjaro work?

Mounjaro is the first and only once-a-week medicine that activates two receptors: GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). This increases insulin production while decreasing glucagon levels, which, in turn, decreases blood glucose levels in the body. It also reduces food intake, and slows down the speed at which your stomach digests food.

Mounjaro's vials are designed for minimal discomfort, with a very short diabetic or insulin needle. Most users find the experience quite manageable.
